I am a newbie and only started yesterday. I have been dieting since October 2008 and i was a size 16/18 and by August 2009 i got to a size 6.

I have managed to keep the weight off, even being a bit naughty !!! but i am so conscious and scared of putting back on that i always watch what i eat and so thats why i am here and to help anyone else if i can.

Although recently about a month ago i gave up smoking and although i dont feel i am eating more somehow the weight has been sneaking back up but i can still get into my clothes !!!

    Hi and welcome

    Unfortunately smoking does increase the metabolism a little so you are probably seeing a downside to quitting...an extra 5 minutes walking brisk pace should negate that tho. Have a mooch around the forums and send requests to anyone you feel has similar goals, interests, quiiting the poison sticks, etc. Giving and receiving encouragement is a great motivator!
