It seems like no matter how hard I try...I just end up gaining weight?! I'm starting to think something is wrong with me. I'm eating healthy. Journaling everything. What is wrong with me?!

Without seeing your diary, it will be hard to suggest some options for why you're struggling. If you can provide a sample day, that might help

Can you open up your diary, so we can see what you are eating? It could be water retension (too much sodium). It could be that you aren't eating enough calories for you body to fuel itself. Excessive exercising and not eating enough won't get you anywhere. Starvation mode is a ugly thing. I feared my body was going into starvation mode, so I increased my calorie intake. I went from wanting to lose 1 lb a week to 0.5 lbs a week. Change up your workout routine and make sure to be getting your water. It is very important!!!

    I'm right there with you....
  • If you REALLY want our suggestions, you have to open up your journal so we can see what you are eating and how much you are exercising. If you exercise and count every calorie you should lose weight. You just aren't doing something right. Sorry!
  • Are you drinking 8 glasses of water each day?

That was me a year ago. I started trying to lose in April and by July, I had gained 10 lbs. I went to my doctor to have tests for thryoid or possible insulin resistance. I'd recommend visiting your doctor. They can rule out any problems which might be hindering your weight loss and make recommendations based on what might work for you.

Well, I've been walking/running each day. I just started myfitnesspal but I've been on MyFoodDiary for the past 6 years. I've always have problems with my weight. Thyroid problems run in my family so I am beginning to think the issue is bigger. I am going to my doctor Tuesday to talk to him. I just never wanted to pawn my weight issues off on a thyroid problem.
