Ok...so I've been invited to my friend's tastefully simple party tonight...If you're not familiar, it's a company that sells yummy food that is simple to make. We will taste samples of different things, but I'm not sure what. I have NO idea how to log this...Any ideas?

  • Ask what the person is making. But keep in mind that the consultant brings items as well. you can look online for calorie, sodium, etc information. My mother is a consultant so I know all about it and help her out. You normally don't eat all of one thing. It's just a bite of each thing. But you do eat a bit of beer bread, but the bread isn't bad calorie wise! Have fun!

On days like this I dont log the calories for that "meal". I just eat small healthy meals during the day, make sure to get in a good workout before hand and make smart choices at the party. You'll be fine.

I LOVE that stuff. We had beer bread with dinner last night... sadly I wont be buying it again because I ate 3-4 1/2" slices and it was hundred of calories :(

It looks like all of their products have nutrition info posted in their web site:http://www.tastefullysimple.com/shopourproducts.aspx

It will be tedious, but you can account for all of it, as long as you make note of what you eat and what the portion size was.

I would log each individual thing, simply because I have a sodium issue and need to be aware of how much I consumed. However, this is also a great time to simply use Quick Add Calories and be fine with "good enough."
