Hi I am around 3 weeks into this site and have been following MFP calorie suggestions. Now does anyone do the freedieting suggestions for calories? I have put in my weight and height into some of these online calorie calculators and they are reading that I should be consuming around 200-300 more calories a day with my level of activity. Also the "zig zagging" concept. Has anyone tried this:????

You really can't compare MFP's guidelines with other counters in a direct way, because they calculate things differently (and some use a different BMR formula but that's usually fairly close with either, within 100 cals). You'd have to do some further calculations to get apples vs. apples.

The other sites consider how much you workout MFP give you a goal without working out and you are supposed to eat those burned calories back, when you do that your average caloric intake for the week should be pretty close to the other site. MFP + exercise cals = other sites goal (as it includes exercise)0
