We love banana cream in this house. You freeze chunks of very ripe bananas, then blend them. The bit of fat in the banana allows it to whip up into a soft serve texture. If you then freeze it, it becomes almost an old fashioned ice cream texture. If it was like runny soft serve in the first place, it becomes like an italian ice, but still delish.
Well, I just added a tablespoon of cocoa powder to 1 frozen banana. Thank goodness I only did one to test it out and my partner was around to eat half of it!!
WHY HAD NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS BEFORE?

Dude, that is an awesome idea. We usually freeze our really-ripes and save them for smoothies or nut breads, but I must try this out.0

We have decided to try cinnamon next time.
Last summer we experimented with floats with both ice cream and sorbet and different flavors of gourmet pop. This summer, it will clearly be banana cream add ins.0
