Yummy homemade banana ice cream... and about 150 calories a
I made this this evening, really easy (if you have an ice cream maker, I am not sure how to make ice cream otherwise, sorry!) and quite low calories!
250g of Bananas - 220 calories
1 tbsp honey - 64 calories
3/4 pint (375ml) semi skimmed milk- 188 calories
85g Caster sugar- 340 calories
Mush the bananas with a fork and add the honey so you have a paste, then add the sugar and milk slowly til you have a milkshake texture (mine had a few lumps in it but still tasted great so don't worry if yours does too!). Then follow the instructions on your ice cream maker! If anyone knows how to do it by hand it would be great if you could post it up as well!
This serves about 5-6 people, nice size portions too! And each portion has about 147 calories, and 1-2 grams of fat!
I loved it! Got to treat myself to ice cream, wasn't fattening and had fruit in as well!
If you like ice cream, I would recommend buying an ice cream maker. They are not too expensive, really easy to actually make ice cream, and you do a much healthier job than buying it from the store!
