I do Zumba and Yoga, usually at different times during the day. I would like to start putting the workouts back to back so which should I do firs?

I would definitely do the Zumba first, but only because I can't imagine trying to do cardio after five minutes of final relaxation.

I take a pilates class for 60 minutes and then a 60 minutes zumba class once a week....I don't think I would have the energy to hold some of the positions in pilates after zumba

    Good Luck

I liked doing my cardio first, then I was all nice and warm for yoga (whether it was more of the muscle-building or more of the stretching type, you want your muscles to be warm). But it's probably a personal preference.

If you do Zumba first, just make sure that you let your heart rate come down enough before sitting/lying down. Give yourself 5-10 minutes where you are walking around and cooling down. Zumba is pretty intense, and if you sit too soon, especially if you start doing any upside-down poses, you might not be getting blood to your brain fast enough and you might pass out.

Depends on your yoga practice. I usually don't like to do anything after yoga, because I like to take my focused mental energy with me into the rest of my day/evening. So, I usually prefer to do yoga as my last workout. That said, I have done an hour-long yoga class, followed by an hour-long zumba class a few times. The yoga helped me to feel limber and lose during zumba, which is great for getting low-low-low when you need to :-)

Thanks everyone. I am new to this website and it's nice that so many people responded so quickly. I will try Zumba first today then yoga and see what happens. Thanks for the tips on the break between because I would have just went straight into my next workout instead of breaking.

I will try it this way today and see if it fits me. The yoga first may help as I am a super stiff dancer and even alone feel really silly doing Zumba! I've been told there is no helping these "white girl hips" :( lol

Thanks again everyone I will post how it goes!! :D
