So, how often do you update your weight settings on your HRM?

I haven't yet, but I've lost about 4 pounds since I bought mine...guess I better figure out how to do that! :)

I just got a new one because my old one crapped out on me- I haven't done it yet, but I plan on doing it every 5 lbs or so.

I just got mine and haven't had to change it, but I'm thinking every 5lbs or so would be good!

As often as I remember, which is usually 10 pounds because MFP reminds me to change my goals here.

Would imagine ever 5 lbs is good. But is you are good about having a weigh in day a week that would likely be optimum.

I weigh weekly, so I adjust hrm after weigh in.

I'm such an idiot, I totally forgot to alter mine, thank you!

Looks like the general answer to "How often to you update" is "Whoops!"

I change mine for every 3 lbs lost, since I can fluctuate 2 lbs every day but 3 lbs loss is (in my mind) a real loss and can alter my results. lol

I change mine only when a significant amount is dropped. Also, don't forget to adjust your resting heart rate - do the test every month or so. That changes things, too.
  • daily if my weight has changed more than 1 pound
