My personal opinion is to eat some of them back, but not necessarily all of them. You don't want your body going into starvation mode if your calorie deficit is too high.

    Hiya!!

It totally depends on your body! sorry!

I personally have found that at the minute I need to eat back all of mine otherwise I go into starvation mode, i'm expecting that to change as I lose more weight.

My advice is to try eating back your exercise cals for a week and see what happens, if you don't lose much then eat back less - maybe half and see what happens again.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    Good luck xx

dont worry, youll be just as confused by all the replies in this post too ;)

Its totally up to you. The general rule of thumb is make your NET calories at least 1200. So basically if youre on a 1200 diet before exercise, then you should attempt to eat them all back.
If your recommended intake on MFP is over 1200, then as long as you eat enough back to make up your 1200 net, you should be alright.

Some people tweak it, some dont. Its not going to kill you to not eat them back, but if youre consistently not getting enough calories over a period of time, you could damage your metabolism, which could make you plateau early and make weight loss more difficult to maintain, or even make you more likely to gain if you start eating normally again.

I personally nearly always eat some of them back, because i dont find sticking to my calorie limit very easy at the best of times, so exercise calories are a godsend. Then again, im on maintenance, not weight loss, so might be different for you.

    good luck x
