Your breasts will most likely be one of the last things to shrink.

I was a 36F and 3 stone later I'm a 34E. So I've gone down two cup sizes. To me, they feel small but having just seen side on photos of me last week, I look a bit like a porn star!

Part of me would like to be a nice full C cup but a big part of me wouldn't know what to do with normal size boobs! Big boobs run in my family and I do love having them so I'm just embracing them - as long as the rest of me shrinks that's just fine! And as for getting clothes to fit - I always recommend Bravissimo/Pepperberry. Their clothes are amazing and actually reasonably priced. I wear a 12 super curvy and I always get compliments when I wear their clothes...

i DON'T want mine to shrink!!! i started out a solid B, and 10 lbs later i'm not filling my bras anymore!! hoping it stops before theres nothing left.

you know, it would be really nice if we could take the excess from our midsection and move it just a little north into the boobage region.

They will probably start to get smaller (depending on how much actual weight you want to lose) but I think that you should be stoked that they haven't!! I started (95lbs heavier) @ a 38C, and I am currently hanging around a 34C(altho I may be able to fit in a B also!) not wanting to go to the store and check!!

I am actually going for a professional bra fitting tomorrow. I can't figure out on my own what I am now. I have measured myself and bought several new bras and brought them all back. But I went for a professional fitting about a year and a half ago and I was at 38DDD. I am hoping to be at least a C.

    Agreed!! That would be fantastic!

Mine did! But it's harder to downsize than you think. The strap size getting smaller means the cups get narrower. So I had to be a lot smaller to get a smaller bra. My oldest daughter, however, is still extra big and lost as much weight as me. She just carries a lotta boobage! I became buttless and mostly straight, while she is still curvy.

I started as a 36H when I started in Jan. of this year. It took a while but I am now down to a 34DD when I was measured a few weeks ago. Hoping to get back to a 34D, which I was prior to having my last 2 children.

My boobs haven't changed, altho the inches part has. I've gone from a 42D to a 40D. Except even tho I have decent size boobs, I've been the opposite of the OP. My top has always been a size smaller than my bottom. Dresses and matching suits don't work for me b/c the manufacturer seems to think, if my hips are this size, then my boobs should be way bigger. *sigh*

Make yourself healthy and do not worry about the individual parts. Trust that when you get to your optimum weight, and you exercise, everything will be in the best proportions that you can achieve.
  • Hey

So i've only lost 3 pounds of actual weight, although my measurements are getting smaller.... except for my boobs!

I've dropped a dress size in most clothes, 2 in some clothes but i keep getting restricted by my boobs.

I'm a 36D, sometimes 36DD in UK measurements, which isn't far off average but it doesn't seem like clothes are cut that way. Particularly anything that crosses over at the top. It fits everywhere but there

So my question is, as you have lost weight, has your bra size changed?

I've only lost 7 pounds, but surprisingly, not in my boobs. It's come off my hips, butt, tummy, waist. I have the same problem that I need to buy bigger tops. My solution has been to belt the tops to rein in the extra fabric--well, those are words I never thought I'd have to say.

    Ooh thanks, good tip :)

Because my boobs were the last place i put on weight, i thought they'd be the first place to go...just a bit surprised.

    LMFAO

Mine have GAINED a cup size!!! Because my under-boob shrunk by over 2 inches already, while my boobs are still the same measurement. But they definitely have lost some perkiness. I'm hitting them with intense weights 15 mins 5x per week and moisturising like hell to fix that.
  • Okay, so this is a super old topic, but I wanted to post anyway. I lost 130 pounds and stayed the same bra size. But I got my first bra in the second grade, and I was wearing a C-cup when I was 11 years old. When I graduated high school, my measurements were 42"b 26"w 34"h. When I gained all my weight (PCO sucks!!!) my cup size never changed. When I lost all my weight, my cup size never changed. I started losing feeling in my arms, and my doctor figured it was from my bra straps digging into my shoulders. He suggested a breast reduction, but to qualify my insurance company required me to go to physical therapy first to see if that would relieve the pain in my back and the numbness in my arms. Well it turned out that I had so much breast tissue it was actually compressing my blood vessels! When I went in for my breast reduction, my surgeon said he'd never seen anything like it- I had breast tissue even in my back. He took me down to fabulous small C... and now the darn things are growing back. He warned me it might happen- but it's a real bummer. My mom told me when I was born I already had development. She was worried, so she asked and was told by the doctor that some babies will have "breasts" but it's just a hormonal milk thing and will go away in a few days. But then after the doctor took a look at me he said "...but that's not what that is. You're little girl is going to be very large breasted." It sucks- because I like how dainty I look with smaller breasts.
  • People should really get to know their "sister" bra size. If you go down in band measurement, you go up in cup size. That's how bras work. So, for example... a 32G is the same as a 34F and a 36DDD as far as breast volume. So, if your cup stays the same and your band goes down... you've actually lost breast volume.

Oh, and mine don't change... no matter how much weight I loose, nor the inches I loose. My breast volume stays stagnant... (or sometimes get larger due to gained muscle mass). However, my band measurement has gone down (for which I've had to go up in cup size). I'm currently a 34G and finding bras to fit now are even harder. It sucks big time... I'd much prefer to be a D cup.

    Ive lost 180 pounds....I was prolly a F cup initially....am now a D cup...but I think if I had the "skin" removed they would prolly be a C cup.
