So this might have been written about before, but when I searched I couldn't find it... anyways, last night I went way over on sodium because of seasoned salt (I love it...but it's so bad!!), then today when I stepped on the scale there was a gain, it was small but still I'm a upset about it. So I was wondering if it's true that my salt intake could have caused the gain? Today I'm drinking tons of water to hopefully reverse the problem last night...does this work? Thanks!! :)

Yes it can be the reason and most likely is. Your doing the right thing just keep drinking that water and shoot for a low sodium day!!

Yes, salt/sodium is a huge factor in water retention...just make sure to drink a couple extra glasses of water if you do go over. Try to use salt substitute in anything you want more salt in instead of regular salt. And add other sodium free spices.

too much sodium definitely causes you to retain water so you're doing the right thing by drinking extra to flush it out. you could always try mrs. dash as a substitute for salt seasonings!
