help!! fitness question!

for the past week and 1/2 i have started eating healthier.

i am 5'3 23 yrs old and 130 lbs.


i just started running a week and a half ago.. ( after 8 yr os NO fitness!)

i have been doing the eliptical.. and doing crunches..


i stepped on the scale today and I GAINED 5 lbs!!

i heard about gaining "mucle mass" but i am going to KEEP gaining??!

my point was to LOSE weight!!

    It should start to go back down soon, look at how your clothes fit not the number on the scale.

    Especially if you have not been exercising then it seems very normal that you would have an initial gain. This is a good gain of muscle. The muscle will help you burn off the fat. You will be leaner, feel better, have more energy and look great.

    You are off to a good start. Keep up the work and be faithful and you'll be delighted with the results.
