I dropped 7 lbs this week and wasn't really trying with my diet! I feel fantastic because I don't have to TRY so hard anymore, it's starting to come naturally
Has anyone else experienced this? As someone who was eating at Arbys or BK every day (large curly fries, chicken sandwich AND those potato triangle things WITH ranch dressing) I'm so giddy that those foods don't even really appeal to me anymore. Not to mention I don't think I could even eat all that in one sitting anymore!
I'll admit, I went out to eat twice this week (dating :drinker: had a turkey burger in a local joint, and chipotle last night!) so I don't even know how I did it. I had no time to exercise. I'm sorry, if I wasn't in my own shoes right now I would hate me haha. I just needed to post this to you guys since I don't really have any nutrition happy/healthy eating friends!

Hate to break it to you, but it was probably part fat, part water weight, and part muscle, not ALL fat. Congrats on the loss though0

Depends on what you ate. I lost 6 pounds this week but I know I had a high sodium Friday Saturday and Sunday. I weigh 157...but after the weekend I weighed 163. By Friday this week I was back to 157....so no real loss. Other than instances like this I haven't lost that much in one week. If your situation is different ...SUPER!!!0

firstly - congrats of losing 7lbs in a week - i think of the weight in potatoes, and carryin that amount around all day
secondly - although some of it was probably fat, a large chunk was probably water - i too went from 5 take aways and 2 frozen ready meals a week, to 7 fresh cooked evening meals a week, and in my first 5 weeks i lost 21lbs - i too thought i didnt have to try and it was easy, and what was everyone complaining about - then bang - i hit a wall, actually put weight on, still stuck to fresh cooked food, no added sugar drinks, and never adding salt in cooking or at the table, but i still put on weight - my activity vs intake deficit was over 1100kcals but i put weight on - turns out my body had dug its heals in and wasnt gonna let go of anymore until i gave it what it wanted
the important thing it to acknowledge the losses, but to be able to comprehend the ups and well as the downs - there will of course be weeks you lose more than others, and there will be weeks when you think whats the point - but the weight didnt go on overnight, it sure as hell aint coming off overnight
my starting weight was 292.5lbs - am 6ft 1 tall, and not active at all, work at a desk all day, dont drive so rely on buses, and was lazy and didnt walk ANYWHERE - im slowly starting to walk but its hard still carrrying 270lbs around - fact is, it's coming off slowly, which is good because it means i can monitor it, when i do get down to my goal, which is 226lbs, i can carry on weighing once a week to ensure that my weight remain stable - if i need to, I can then dip down to 1200kcals for a few days for a kickstart, but i dont want to think about going under 226lbs at the moment as that will get me into the Overweight category.
MOST IMPORTANTLY - CONGRATS OF LOSING THE 7LBS0
