almonds are low in sugar. Any pure protein (meat) will not have sugar. Go eat some chicken breasts - but leave off the ketchup/bbq sauce! Maybe flavor it with some herbs and lemon!

Rice crackers but not the flavoured ones I eat organic sea salt, popcorn air popped off the top of my head those are two options.
  • Try steamed veggies with salsa on them, or put curry powder on top. Yum!

Cheese. Generally any kind of block cheese. Including string cheese. No sugar and very tasty.

how much of your sugar intake is natural and how much is refined?
remember, your body processes fructose differently to glucose
apples freaked me out because of the sugar, but fructose is ok - again, in moderation - doesnt mean im gonna eat 10 apples a day though

I'm working with the same thing. I'm really watching the sugar content in the foods I am eating. I have been plugging in different veggies into the search to see what the content is. I have found most vegetables are low in sugar (broccolli, mushroom, zucchini).... My breakfast takes up most of my sugar allotment since I eat yogurt - so the rest my day - has to be more vegetables and chicken breasts, etc. Good Luck!

Have you tried unsweetened yogurt? I dont do the fake sugars (sorbitol etc), personally they freak me out and give me an upset stomach. I just get unsweetened soy yogurt (Im allergic to dairy) and add fruit to get the sweetness, or sometime a lil honey for a treat :) I know cow yogurt naturally has alot of sugar in it, but maybe the plain one? Just an idea :)
