So I buy produce a lot, and I always eat all of the spinach and carrots..but as for half of the other things, I feel like I don't know how to properly store them so that I maximize use and also don't have to do a lot of washing chopping.
I want to be able to reach in my fridge and grab things to make without a lot of time, so what is the best way to store veggies? For instance: I have broccoli, cauliflower, romaine, spinach, green beans, and green cabbage. Should I wash and chop them up and store in tupperware? Or should I keep whole? I just want to be able to have quick options when throwing together meals.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED! I have the fitness thing down, but as far as nutrition goes-I am pretty clueless.

p.s. Fruits too! Can I peel kiwis and keep them in tupperware? I just want to be able to pick up what I need without having to take a while to cut and wash everything. I find that I eat a lot healthier when I can take it with me.0

If time is an issue, then yeah I would prep what you want so you can grab and go. Just be sure it's something you're going to use in the next couple of days.0

Some things can definitely be prepared and ready to go but you may lose some crispness if taken from main stalk (broccoli and cauliflower for sure) Green beans are fine but I store mine in water after preparing, helps keep them tender
Lettuce should be prepared fresh, goes limp and discoloured very quickly. Cabbage is likely to go limp too so I'd prepare that as needed.
Fruit...most fruits discolour and go mushy after being prepared, think of a fruit salad by the end of the evening. Best to do those as required.0 -
