My name is Clo:]
I'm 21, five foot one and 128lbs. Please don't tell me I'm skinny and don't need to be dieting. I'm trying to work my way back to 110 and be healthier and more fit. I'm tired of looking at girls on tv and wishing I looked like them. Had a flat stomach like this. No more wishing! I'm going to do something about it.

My Plan:
1200 calorie diet
At LEAST 45 minutes of cardio a day, 5 days a week. (I tend to go over this)
I walk 1-3 miles.
I drink 6 glasses of water a day.

What do you guys think? Is this a good plan?

More water! Its awesome. And vitamin b complex, they're energy boosters. That alone makes me feel better.
  • Sadly I can't take any kind of energy supplement. It will give me a heart attack. I've been in the hospital twice for that.& I'm trying to work my way up on drinking more water:]

I'm 5ft 1, aiming for 125lbs and maybe lower if I can reach that. I started out at 135, now at 133, and also want to be more toned and fit as well. When you're short, it seems every pound really shows! I just turned 40 and my metabolism has slowed way down from most of the rest of my life when I could just eat whatever I wanted and stayed thin.
  • Hi I just jointed. Hope this will help me to lose weight. I was on weight watchers several years ago. Does anyone know if the new weight watchers PP works?

What speed to you walk at? Is there any incline? You can up your intensity and it will burn more for you.
  • I walk 3.5 miles an hour. So a brisk pace, and it's around the neighborhood through some woods, so the incline varies.

I think most people here wouldn't tell you that you don't need to lose. Probably almost everyone here that is close to their goal hears that from other people in their life. We are here to support others in their goals as long as they're healthy goals, sounds like you are shooting for something reasonable and healthy for your size. It's a huge debate on here, but I strongly suggest you eat back at least half of your exercise calories. It seems counter intuitive to eat more to lose weight, but time and time again I see people on here that say they increased their calories and started to lose. You just can't exercise and not feed your body(not that I'm assuming you won't be). Good luck with your goals, feel free to add me if you like.
