Best way to stick with a diet is to start logging in your meals and start looking at all of the nutrients you're eat. And make sure to stick with the limits. It'll be hard at first, but after about a week or so it'll get easier as it becomes a habit.0

1) Getting in shape probably won't make him jealous.
2) Spite isn't very good motivation.
good luck.0 -
Sorry to hear of your breakup.
It would be great to lose weight for yourself although right now you can use the breakup as more motivation.
I've learned a lot just by reading what works with others on here. I've only been here since April, so I'm somewhat new. What I've changed for myself during that time is drinking so much more water than I ever have! hahaha It's just really neat to type in all of your food and have MFP keep track and let you know what's left or not.
Just trying to buy better food choices when at the store. The less they are in your house, the less the temptation is that's for sure. I never looked at calories as I always stayed the same weight, but watching calories and eating more fruits, vegetables, etc. really makes you feel healthier. I've cut my sweets big time. Also fast food is not your friend! hahaha
After you start putting in your foods you've eaten you will start to realize that you can have so much more good food during the day vs eating out. One meal eating out is sometimes about your whole calories for the day or close to it. Things like pizza, etc really add up in a hurry. You can put in something like pizza and enter it just to see what everyting ends up being and then delete it.
Well, one good thing about all of this is that you will have a new focus. YOU and you will keep busy with entering your food, etc and maybe it will help take your mind off things. Hugs to you!0
