I'm here because of a friend using this. I have been working out consistantly since last fall - Oct after I was told I had two leaky valves in my heart but no restrictions - losing weight will help and exercise will help strengthen the heart- i took off running, literally! For my kids and my husband. I have lost pounds and inches but really hit a wall this year. I thought I was doing well with my eating as I'm very diligent about what I put in my body but this is really helping me see where my downfalls are. Since joining almost 3 weeks ago I've lost 6lbs (now that fluctuates during the week up and down but thats the total as of today!) I finally broke through that wall!
This makes me think more before I eat, makes me really think about finishing something when I'm already feeling comfortably full- so I stop eating sooner, really makes me see what all my running and working out does for me etc. AND I get to take it with me. If we eat out, I check the calories on what I want to order before I make my decision, its so easy to do.
I'm so diligent that when my family brought me to brunch for mothers day, while I was waiting in line for a belgain waffle, my kids had a death by chocolate piece of cake. My oldest said to my husband 'if mommy had this and put it in her application it would probably say not to eat till next week.' LMAO!
Anyway, I'm loving this app! I'm slowly getting into the boards and reading and seeing before/after pictures etc. It seems very supportive!
I am currently 173, size 8, as of this morning (Oct I was 201, size 14/16), training for another 5K, and training for a Triathlon in Sept. I'm crazy but i like pushing my body to see just how much I can do. My goal is another 10 lbs but after that, because of my lean muscle mass, I don't think I want to lose anymore. Just keep toning!
