Rest day?

I have always heard you should have a rest day... but on that day... I always feel like I am slacking with no exercise... what are your thoughts, is a rest day necessary?

    I sometimes take a rest day but if not, all I do is a long, not too intense walk to give my muscles a break, but still be active and burn those calories.

    If I don't feel like resting I'll go for a walk. Either way I need to take a break between runs and whatnot.
  • I have 2 days off a week and still manage to loss 1 to 2 pounds a week some times 3.I have never found it a problem having rest days and have lost 49 pounds so far...
