Bring on the weights!

Today (sore toe permitting) I will start back with my weight program. I'd also love to go for a run, but that's a whole other story. At any rate, I'm wondering how many of you follow a weight program, or have made up your own.
I was doing P90X at home, but now that I'm in a condo, I figured all the jumping up and down would not be all that nice for my neighbours below. I could easily do the weight routines in the gym by just writing them down and following them without the video. I really liked the weight routines, they were challenging.
The other option I have is to make up a new weight routine myself. I have enough background in strength training to do this. I'd probably incorporate a day of upper body, a day of lower body, then a day incorporating dual moves that work both an upper body and lower body part at the same time.
I'd be interested to hear if any body had some good success with creating their very own homemade program!
Have a good one

When I did my own program I followed one off bodybuilding.com, which was great. I just joined a new gym and they gave me a new program, now I am still doing 4 days strength, but a different split- chest and biceps, back, shoulders and triceps and legs. So far I like it, and abs every day I train. If you want stuff you can do at home, check out www.bodyrock.tv she posts really fun, short, super intense workouts almost every day.0

Three days a week, M-W-F, schedule permitting. Shoulders and Legs on Monday, Chest and Back on Wednesday, and Biceps and Triceps on Friday. I do weight training first and then hit the elliptical for 30 to 40 minutes to finish up. I do about 240 crunches...variation of eight minute abs...at home in the morning, every morning (but the doc said I had to stop until I get the dual hernia repaired). Seems to work for me. Have been doing this for approx three months and have lost close to 15 pounds (had to take my dress slacks to be altered by almost two inches taken in), gained some size in chest, arms and legs, and feel great! My kids don't tell me I'm fat any more.0
