When I started running last year, I was 20 pounds heavier and my knees didn't like it one bit. I think it was related to my career as a carpenter taking it's toll. I started taking Osteo-Biflex Triple Strength, the pain went away and I kept it up while running nearly every day for the past year. About 2 months ago, I stopped taking it to see if I still needed it. I am still running and ran 8 miles yesterday in my New Balance R/S with no pain then or today. I think the combination of the pills and the exercise has improved my joints immensely. I'm loving it!! I switched to "barefoot" running in Vibram Five Fingers a week ago and absolutely love it!! It reminds me of running around all summer without shoes as a kid. Thank you to all the people talking about the VFF's in the forums here on MFP.

    That's awesome!
  • Great to hear that you are no longer in pain with your joints and that they have obviously improved! Just had a look at those VFF's. They look so comfortable and are a little different from the norm, which i love!

I haven't tried that one. I had seen ads for Osteo and the pharmacist at CVS told me it was the best on the market. I was getting it at Wal-Mart and paying $16 for 80 daily doses. Here are two links for the VFF's:

    http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/index.htm

    http://www.fivefingersoutlets.org/

The first link has a store locator. Get yourself fitted and go to the second link to buy certain styles at huge discounts.

You're welcome! This is an incredible site for VFF's. I paid half of what the best interwebs price is.
