Sooooo this is my 2nd week attempting week 5. I've only gotten through week 5, workout 1 and 2 twice. I started over because their was a huge gap between workout 2 and 3(if I did it, but decide to start over). This is my second time around doing week 5. I did workout 2 last wednesday and haven't done workout 3 yet. Should I do workout 3 today or do you think I should start over with week 5 because of the huge gap?? thanks!!!

I would just try to complete the week, then go on to week 6 and if you struggle, do week 5 over again. Trust your body, and push through week 6.0

I would suggest doing workout 3 and if you really struggle, do week 5 again. Unless you have a race you are trying to be ready for, then you may want to move on to week 6. You are getting to the weeks that the amount of running really picks up, so if you need to repeat a few weeks, that is perfectly ok. The goal is to get the end and be able to run 30 mins straight. Good luck!!:drinker:0

Keep moving forward. Don't procrastinate, just do it. You CAN do it as long as you don't tell yourself you can't! :flowerforyou:0

If I were you, I would restart over, and just do my best to stay consistent with the weeks again. Since those runs do get gradually more difficult, you don't want it to be a shock to your muscles. Good luck!0

Hi,
I just finished week 5 yesterday and I had left about a weeks gap between the 2nd run and the final. I say go for it, you'll suprise yourself. Just keep telling yourself you can do it.0 -

Definitely just do day 3! The W5D3 20-minute run was the biggest hurdle of C25K for me too. But really, it's almost all mental, and once you get past it, it's the best feeling! At least try it and if afterwards you feel like you need to repeat it before moving on, decide then. You can totally do this! Good luck!0

I often had to redo a week here and there depending on how I felt about it . . . but I have not been a runner for over 20 years so had a long way to go to condition myself. I took my time and worked through the program at my own pace and didn't feel anything but empowered that I actually did it! It is a personal choice I would say (not much of an answer, is it? ha ha)0

I'm in week 5 as well, doing day 2 tonight and day 3 on Wednesday. I'm rather frightened of day 3, but I'm building my confidence beforehand.
I would say try it, and you could even tell yourself that if you're struggling you can throw a 1-minute walk into the middle, making it two 10-minute intervals, and then extend to a day 4 to do the full 20 minutes straight. That way it's not a failure if you don't make it the first time, but I have a feeling that once you're10 minutes in, you'll just want to keep going.
Let us know how it goes!!0 -
I didn't make it through W5D3 so I am going to do it over. It just seemed like a big jump in running time. Going to try again tomorrow and try to run the full 20 minutes.0
