BC and weight loss

Okay so I have lost 14 lbs so far and I get really excited but then TOM comes to visit and I gain around 5lbs for like a week and a half. So not fair. Granted sometimes I get a bad sweet tooth because of TOM, but I still try to stay as good as possible. So for me I am not on any BC as of right now, but I am planning on going on something. I am wondering though if TOM makes women gain due to water weight, rather than being disappointed once a month I wonder how those 1 period every 3 month BC work,? so that way I am only disappointed once every 3 months. If anyone has any experience I would love to know. Plus I am scared any BC will make me gain weight cause that is what I always hear.

I take Seasonale. I definitely have less water weight gain since I only have one period every three months. However, I've noticed some months that I do get some TOM symptoms (irritability, very light cramps), even though I don't actually get a period that month. But overall, there is less water weight gain for me.0
