I'm getting ready to start INSANITY with my roommate (I'm pumped and nervous all at the same time!) How should I log it for exercise?? I don't have a HRM at the moment so I don't have a legit way of monitoring my caloric burn. HELP!

Get an HRM!0

I have a heart rate monitor. I have checked MFP just to see and it seems like circuit training comes the closest to the calories I burn during Insanity. It all depends on how hard you push yourself though.0

Good Luck! I have been doing Insanity for a month now......and absolutely love it!! It will kick your tail, but it is so worth it. I log it in as "Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous". I just have to say that I have had a bad knee for quite sometime and was nervouse about doing some of the exercises, but after taking my time and shying a way from some of the jumps, my knee feels stronger than it has in about ten years!0

I agree you need an HRM for this program. I burn 600-1000 cals depending on the workout, but each person is different. Even Shaun T. stresses using an HRM during Insanity.0
