    Good evening!

    Reyna- I'm in the same boat, on the other hand, I'm hoping for a great weight loss next week from water gain:)


    Amy- Thanks, I think we are in a groove. Plus it really helps that we both have our hubby's pushing for us and working on themselves also.

    Haven't weighed in this week and not sure I'm gonna. Don't feel like dealing with the disappointment. Avoidance? Yup that's me. I'll see how I feel tomorrow once I get back to the gym today and hopefully can get my eating under control. :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad:

    Yuck! Oh well, next week I will do better -- Only five more weeks until I am in a wedding, and would love to lose 10 more lbs!

    good morning...

    little late checking in today. i went for a walk this morning. haven't been to the gym since monday night. just doing other things instead. weather man said this would be our last cool morning for awhile, so took advantage of it. i am shorts and tank top and everyone else walking was in sweats and covered up. geezers must be cold. it was in the low 50s. than did my errands and now home for nothing to do. have a bunch of taped shows to watch.

    Did Ripped last night and ran a mile, felt great! going to do the same tonight.

    Heading back home for graduation this weekend, Haven't been there since we moved- 5 months ago...and 23lbs lighter :)

    Is there one thing that you gals struggle with? food, exercise, portion control, etc...
    Mine is exercise, I feel like I should be and could be doing more, but hardly find the time being a working mother :(

    hey ladies... broke down last night... ate about 3 days worth of calories... and didn't exercise... that it what happens when I don't plan... so for this to work I really need to decided in the morning and then I typically stick with it... so far so good today... today is a busy day... meeting, soup kitchen, and then girls night... we are going hiking and making a healthy dinner :) grilled chicken with salsa and avacado on baby greens... YUM!

    reyna, shanell... i'm on the boat with you... :) next week should be a great loss!

    stacy... my best friends's wedding is at the end of august... and I NEED to fit into the dress I got... :) it is a motivator... good luck!

    Lorena...i have issues with all of it. i am a food addict so it takes allot of control for me to not eat. i also don't care for exercise, but, after i do it, it does feel good. just getting there to do it. i have to take one hour at a time. that is why i have bad snacks, but, there are within my limits. since i am a diabetic i count carbs not calories, as long as it's 15 or below in carbs i eat it as my snack. i have my ice cream cone every night. it's 3/4 cup ice cream, with 4 carb cone. it comes out to be 31 carbs. i get 30 for evening snack. i look forward to my 8pm ice cream cone and everyone knows it. so it's just something that is an individual thing and a struggle for everyone. i look at some people diaries on here and think i could not eat just this or that. i want what i like and i won't change that. so i adjust and buy that food differently.

    Lorena - I so struggle with exercise too! I could have plenty of time and nothing else to do, but I WILL find something else to do. It is a daily struggle for me, and a struggle that definitely lose a lot of the time. I can manage eating (most of the time!) but i will just flat out not exercise if I can avoid it.

    AFM: It's been a good week so far, went a little off track today when someone brought Eileen's Colossal Cookies Snickerdoodles to work today. SOOOOO good, but 199 calories - yes, 199 not 200 - and what did I do? I ATE TWO!! :noway:

    I plead temporary insanity.

    took nighty walk i really enjoy those walks. if i do nothing else i will always do that. i am thinking of zumbia again tomorrow night. maybe see if there are morning classes, if shanell doesn't want to go with me. i have really slacked on exercise this week. but, it's not over with yet. going to gym at least one day this weekend with DH. we will go to the base cause it's free.

    time to relax for the evening.

    Sixers, I graduate tomorrow at 2 pm. All my hardwork has paid off, I AM GOING TO BE A DOCTOR come tomorrow. :-) Thanks for being there thru it all (to the older sixers) Sorry I'm in and out of the group I have so much going on at once. and... close on my house on Tuesday.

    YEA, DR. TIFF....you go girl. i need an appointment now, do you make house calls? congrats, you have to be proud of yourself for this.

    struggling here this week, eating is on track, exercising went off track. i am talking myself into going to the gym. i know if i do i will feel better. i just don't want to do it. weekend is filling up with lots to do. crap son home. i wish so bad he would move out. he's been home for over a year now. DH and i want our house to our selfs. well he just pissed me off. so maybe it would be good to go to the gym.

    Brayden (my son) will be gone for 2 weeks, He left last night and I am already bored stiff! Granted it was nice not to have little feet in my face and back last night. Why do kids to that?? It amazes me what they sleep though! But because he was gone, I was able to run this morning and get it out of the way. That was nice, I need to do house work tonight, but I am sure I will find a reason to get out of it -- you know, like sleeping! lol!

    Congrats Dr Tiff!!! So excited for you!! That's a TON of hard work, After high school I new a couple of girls who went into nursing school (it was right by where we lived) and you wouldn't see them for months, they would get so wrapped up in the program. I can't imagine a dr!! And you have all of this house stuff and moving going on!! Plus keeping up with us! You are amazing!!

    Lorena -- I am awful at eating and exercising! lol! I know you said one, but I have two! At work, I might eat more then I intended, and I always justify it thinking that I will exercise at night, and then turn around and find an excuse not to work out -- and whats awful!?!? ---> I have a treadmill IN MY HOUSE! there should not be any excuses, but I always find one. I am really going to try and the next couple weeks (while the son is gone) maybe if i see how much it affects my weight loss I will be more inclined to stick with it.

    Cathy - my husband is stationed at Cherry Point right now, which is in Havelock North Carolina, We are about an hour out side of Wilmington, or an hour outside of Jacksonville (if you are familiar at all with the area) So, I go out in town to see my Primary Care Physician ( I live right on the line of the city limits, so it was my choice to go out in town or on base -- I chose out in town for obvious reasons!:tongue: ) But to see the OB/GYN they refer you back on base, sense they have one on staff there, whos schedule is easy to get into sense she can not see pregnant ladies.

    stacey....shanell and i live just outside charleston SC, yup i know abouts where you are at. my dad lives in raleigh. that is one thing i will never complain about is our medical after retirement. i don't know of anyone who pays just $440 a year and only $12 an office visit and just $3 or $9 for meds. no matter what the cost. i will take this any day. i have a great PMC doctor too. he will give me any referral i want. good luck.

    well, went to the gym and did a pretty good workout. got to 30 mins on elliptical which is great for me. next week i will stick to the 30 and slowly increase

    So since the start of this challenge, I have been slowly gaining weight. A lot of it is definitely my eating and lack of exercise. So today I put a little more effort into how much I put in my mouth and how often of moved my butt. So today I was feeling pretty good about myself, which meant I did NOT want to weigh myself, but realized hitting the weekend that I needed a reality check. Happy dance - I had lost 4 lb. WOOHOO. So now to Fogo de Chao for dinner and hopefully not an overdoing it of salt intake. Thank goodness I'm not weighing in tomorrow.

    My weakness is food and exercise. I love healthy food, I just eat large portions, than it's not so healthy. I love to walk, but to lazy. So it takes a whole lot of effort for me to do this. Plus, I absolutely love sweet like cookies, cakes, ice cream, and chocolate.

    AFM: Since I had reached a great goal, I was going to go get my toes done, but now, I think I'll go shopping because my clothes are starting to get a little loose, and my underware too!!! So, I see shopping this weekend, plus we are going to take the girls to go see the new Pirates of the Carribbean. My 7 y/o loves prirates, mermaids, and zombies, so she can't wait to see this movie.

    Just a quick one from me. I'm busy failing!! I'm not trying, I'm eating what I want and not doing any exercise. My excuse?? I don't have any.

    I need to get back to it to make it a habit and start feeling good again. Feeling horrible. Will check in later on a more positive note.

    Well, went out to dinner at Fogo de Chao. Who in the world can seriously eat that much meat? Good food, but not my type of thing as it was hard to have a conversation with all the meat sticks put in your face. But definitely yumminess. That being said, dinner was until ELEVEN, but I stayed within my calories (really worked my hiney off yesterday) and didn't nibble when I got home, so I consider that a success. Had to take water pills before dinner so my fingers would not be little sausages this morning (see meat on the brain). But it was fun stuff. Glad anniversary dinners only come once a year. Smart enough not to step on the scale today. But definitely getting in a run or two ;)

    Tiff - Congrats to our new doctor. You earned every bit of it.

    Clare - we all have those days/weeks/months. But we are here for you to cheer you on. Weather hopefully will continue improving with less "natural disasters" and that will pick up your spirits.

    Shanell - Congrats on your upcoming shopping spree. Hard work pays off.

    Cathy - your consistency with your exercising is inspiring. Gets me a movin'.

    I'm not checking in this week as its just too horrific!!! Will try on tuesday and although I'll still be looking at a gain..... It'll be a slightly smaller one hopefully!!!

    Anyway todays been a good food day so far.

    Tomorrow will be too and it'll be a good exercise day too as we're going out on the bikes :-) xx

    Hey ya to everyone else!

    I work at a motorcycle shop with only male co workers. Today (while I am at work no less) Aunt Flo shows up, out of the blue! Obviously i wasn't prepared (why would I be?!? lol) But I had to run across the street to get my "essentials" And when I came back through the bay the guys saw my box (yeah, I am not really shy about it, and I hate waisting the plastic bag to carry it back across the street) -- suspiciously all the guys were EXTREMELY nice to me the rest of the day! The whole thing just makes me laugh --> Please bare in mind only ONE of these guys is married! :laugh:

    no stacey my day didn't get better. i sure wish i had girlfriends to talk to. i don't have any friends. i have people i know, but, no one to call and talk to or hang out with. maybe that's why i eat?????

    we have been up for hours. dog woke us at 4:45. we are heading to the gym within the hour and i am taking a very long nap.

    what a great gym at the base.... i haven't been there for years. they have all new weight equipment. they closed down the racket ball courts and those cardio rooms, light free weights, ball & mats. they have an "arc trainer" LOVED it. such a cool machine. they have 4 different stair climbers. one of the weight machines was a hip thing. you stand to use it. really liked it. too bad it's so far for me to drive. DH says he is going to get permission to stop there on his way home from work with his work truck at night. wow never thought i would hear that from him. i am pleased. his family doesn't have a long live history. we are breaking that cycle now.

    off to shower and than off to get him a locker for his locker.

    still in a pissy mood.

    Really need to get my life in gear here. I had been totally constipated for 6 days (TMI?), my hubby thinks I have developed a stomach ulcer, my eating has been horrible, and then obviously decreased, but still only craving junk. Did get exercise in, but my heart is not in it. I have a chest/sinus infection, but no time or $ for doctor. Oh yeah, and my TOM is right around the corner. :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad:

    Okay, so that was a little dramatic. I have a good life despite all that. My baby girl graduates in a couple of weeks from 5th grade. My baby boy has turned into a "fine collection of cells" as my husband points out. And I am grouchy and moody as all get out. :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: (that part not so dramatic)

    Anyway, thanks for letting me complain. Going to take this day by day right now. Heck, hour by hour. Desperate times, I am going minute by minute.

    Plans for today? Work til 9, step class at 9:30 to 10:30, back to work. Once meds wear off, to bed. Then time with kids tonight til daughter's fitness class at 7, then late dinner at 8 with family, then bed. Keep focused. Grass needs cutting and no rain in forecast, but I'm guessing that might wait until tomorrow...
