Wow, I get to start the thread again. Woo Hoo. :drinker:
Ran this morning with our group. Did about 3.5 miles then off to starbucks for coffee. The group wants to do a run on Friday night but I am not sure if I want to do it. Their 1/2 marathon is coming up in about 19 days so they want to go on longer runs. I don't know if my knees and shins can handle it.
Have a great run everyone.

Welcome back Ali!!! Glad to hear you had such a good time!
Sherry - go for it! You won't know until you try. Just take it easy. Have you tried knee bands/braces?
I don't know what I am going to do today. I have an early schedule today because I want to get my Kindergartener off the bus! I am just not ready for all the independence that comes with Kindergarten!! so, my goal today is to get their homework done and then head off to the gym for BodyPump class and an easy run.
Have a great day everyone!!! Tricia :flowerforyou:0 -

Good morning runners!
I'm back from the mountains ... and very sad about it.
I did manage to get in a a 5-mile run while there. I was supposed to run 6, but I gave myself some slack because running around the top of a mountain is very different than running in my local neighborhood! My hip flexors was yelling at me for the next 24 hours ... but at least I did it!0 -
Oh, and I'll be going to Boot Camp this evening!0
-
Morning Friends,
No run for me, but good job Sherry, Ali, Kechie & Slender for getting out there! :drinker:
I'll go stumble around the dark tomorrow morning.
Happy Running!0 -
G'morning runners! I had a busy holiday weekend! I did an 8 mile bike/ 3.70 mile run y'day and this morning did a 6 mile bike/ 2 mile run. I'm doing some transitions w/ my buddies who are doing a half IronMan this weekend!! I'm going along as a spectator and might try to run some w/ them if it's allowed! I've done a lot of the training with them and if I were a stronger swimmer I would have considered doing it. I'm thinking next year...
Have a great day!

Hi Everyone!
I'm so excited I can officially post of here. Saturday night my friend and I went out and ran a mile. Woohoo!!! We are slower than a snail, but we did it and we felt great afterwards. Tonight I am at the Y while the kiddos take a tumbling class, planning on a 30 min elliptical.
Happy running!!!0 -
Fellow runners,
I haven't been around much due vacation and getting the kids ready for school. I've been running when I've had time. Put in a 30 min, just over 3 mile run on the treadmill this morning. It was soooo hard!! My erratic schedule has put me behind. But I know I can get it back. Thanks for all the encouragement--just reading about your successes helps keep me going!

Hey runners:
Good job for the ones that got it done. No run for me today, Yoga instead. Don't know when I will be able to run again, as my hip/pelvis went out.... picking up a t shirt~! Went to chiro and will go back on Friday.

Good job, Theresa!! :drinker:0 -
I didn't run today, but ran on Saturday at Maumee Bay State Park in Ohio (close to Toledo). We were camping there for the weekend with the in-laws and my dh and I went for a run. I have no idea how far we went, but we were gone for over an hour and I burned over 600 calories. It had to have been at least 3 miles of running with probably another mile of walking. They have some great biking/jogging trails. My 5K is in 3 1/2 weeks, so I think I can do it. I'll just be the last one over the finish line.... My gym membership started yesterday, so here's to early mornings! :drinker:0

Okay I have been off the wagon for a while but now I have joined the biggest loser challenge and am starting up with my videos and treadmill again. I did 3.5 miles today. But I sure can feel the difference with not doing it for a while... I walked one mile of that though... :grumble: Back to the couch to 5k for me...
Thanks for being here.

Hello all my wonderful running people who are the only ones who understand my need to run...
Well I am sorry to say today is not a running day for me. And I wanted to ride my bike, but it is pretty windy out there. so I think I will do my regular workout and some hula hooping. It will take all I got to do that after working today. Just extra tired today for some reason.
I did great on calories today though, I barely had time to eat let alone worry about snacking. I saved almost 200 calories up just by not getting a chance to eat them. So I had a fudgsicle for dessert.:smooched: Still saving on calories though because that is only 60 calories. MMMM I am not hungry now, maybe another snack later.
Check in with you all tomorrow!!!0 -
It is so late, who knows if any of you will read it BUT>>>>>>>>
GREETINGS MY RUNNING BUDDIES!
I woke up at 515 to rain pitterpattering on my window...oh and 40 mph wind gusts. I sat looking out my front window for 15 mins hoping and praying that my running partner would NOT show up!! Luckly she didnt so I got 2 loads of laundry done and was still at work 10 mins early!!:drinker: :drinker:
That being said.....we did do a quick 3.1 miles tonight. I have circut tomorrow morning at 530, short run again on Thursday, circut again on Friday morning (although I think I wil sub abs for cardio that day) and then rest on Saturday.....BIG 1/2 on SUNDAY. I AM SOOOOO EXCITED!!
Happy Running...or sleeping now sleepy heads!

I did a speed workout tonight. It was five miles total with a mile warm-up and cooldown and eight 400's fast with one and one-half minutes in between. I'm doing my running in the late afternoon now instead of the morning since school started today. It's a lot harder to workout after school than in the mornings, but I'll do my best to keep it up.
Happy running everyone!

Spent 2 1/2 hours on the elliptical today with high resistance. I'm racing for the first time on Sunday, so I'm trying to get some good workouts in before then.0

okay - late on here but amyways... 4.5 mile run today! It felt great did some intervals in there and broke up the monotonous treadmill.... ahhh, can't wait to run outside -- soon, so soon.
Thalli -- good job!
firegirlred -- 2.5 hrs on the elliptical -- I would probably go half insane making me completely insane  good on ya!
Looks like everyone got some good runs in today!!0
