I am doing the Warrior Dash this Sunday, but my wave is not until 2 pm. What do I do to keep myself busy.. and get myself prepped the day of. This is my 2nd 'race'. I ran my first 5K in early April and the race started every early in the AM. The temp was cooler, but the weather is supposed to be in the 70s. So, any advice.. on what to eat and how to prep physically???

Eat normally before the race. You don't wany anything you eat to upset your stomach and have an emergency mid race.
    Also make sure you hydrate!

The event itself is almost festival-ish. Expect to get there early and hang out for a while before your wave. Bring sunscreen and lots of water. They also have booths set up, the one I attended this year was giving out free monster zero's which I kept storing in my pack :P and drank one right before my wave.

Other than that I think just have fun. Try to stay cool and hydrated, they usually have a water station set up at the half-way point.

The girls in my Crossfit did this a few weeks ago and they had a blast. I also agree, don't eat anything different, or do anything different. Go in there with a calm attitude and remember its all fun!

I'm thinking of signing up for one. What kind of training did you do for yours?

KendalBeee- -- well, to be honest I really haven't prepped myself as I wish I could have. As I mentioned before I completed a 5K in early April and the WD will be my 2nd event. But, the WD is not really the same as a regular 5K.. at least I don't see it as so because of the obstacle courses. But, last week, I started running, so far I've run 3 x since last week. My plan for the month of May was work on weight training to strengthen my upper body, but that didn't work out as I expected and I am really behind on that. So, if I had followed the schedule I wanted.. it would be run 2-3 times a week and incorporate the weight training. GOOD LUCK!
