My calories are always way under. I already eat an ounce or two of almonds every day. My protein is already way over each day. My carbs, fat and sugar are borderline so I can't up too much there. I need something else that I can munch on sporadically throughout the day. My job doesn't allow for much sitting to take a break and eat something. Any suggestions?

Protein would be your only choice to not boost the fat, or carbs.
If you're using MFP's default settings then your protein is pretty low they use 15%, I put mine to 30% of my calories to get the amount of protein I wanted for a goal. Which is 0.5 grams per pound of body weight.
To change click home...goals... change goals...custom... set the numbers you want (I use 40% carbs 30% fat 30% protein) click save and enjoy your modified numbers.0 -
In my opinion, it's impossible. I've been here a year and haven’t perfected it other than my "human dog-food" experiment I called the Life Bar which was nutritionally perfect if you ate 1, 6x a day but b/c it was like jello, it wasn't very palatable but a good try, ha ha.
You can't even say veggies b/c you'd have to eat like 4 cups before getting to 100 calories or so.
Bumping to see if someone has the answer.0 -
If you are worried about adding any further protein, I would sugest eating complex carbs to increase your calories or a little extra polyunsaturated or mono saturated fat.
But the body is a wonderful machine, it can create fat to energy and vice versa as needed.0 -
What can you eat that has calories, but doesn't have cards nor protein in it? IDK
Maybe, you should try changing what you eat. Instead of almonds, have something with more calories and less protein. I really don't think it is a bad thing to go over on protein, just drink a lot more no calorie drinks (water preferred) to help flush you system. Personally, I would eat more protein!0 -
Sunflower kernels?
They can be messy (and tricky) to eat on the go, but that's one of my go-to snacks. A handy way I've found to tote and eat them is to use one of the plastic cylinder cases that mini M&M's come in. I poured the candy into a snack mix for my kids and have used the container for the sunflower kernels ever since. It works great!0 -

Great idea. Thanks! I have already adjusted my protein higher than the MFP guidelines, but will "tweak" it again so it is higher. I have a little bit of room left on fat (10) and carbs (15) each day and I really would rather not go over on those. My sugar is always over due to the fruit that I eat. If I eat an orange and an apple, I end up over for the day.0
