Scared to go on vacation!

This weekend the Hubby and I are heading to his daughters High School graduation, then spending the better part of the week in a car driving across country.
So, my fear. Little to no activity ( although I have requested hotels and motels that have a gym) and eating all day do to boredom!
Does anyone have any ideas to keep me from falling off the wagon!????

At each rest stop that you take a break at, jog around the vicinity a few times to get your heart rate up and keep your metabolism active.
Find a bunch of books or magazines that you can read on the trip.
Set a goal for yourself. Teach yourself sign language, memorize a poem, write an epic saga of your trip.
Avoid snacking at all costs. If you want to snack, pack carrots or some other easy vegetable to munch on raw--that way you'll only eat when you're desperately hungry.
    Hope this helps!

I just returned from a week and a half vacation with spotty internet, meaning no MFP! I made wise food choices, I didn't eat until I was stuffed (just ate until I was full), and I came back about the same weight as when I left.

You are the only one who can stop yourself from eating while bored. If you know you will need to munch on something, pack lots of healthy snacks like celery and peanut butter, hummus and veggies, etc. Keep MFP in mind every time you make a meal choice and it will guide you to better options...or at least it helped me out!
