Just can't seem to get motivated to work out today...

I haven't missed a day of exercising in over a month, but today is the first day that I just don't want to do it. Help! I keep putting it off and off. The plan is for 2 workouts today (C25K now and 30 Day Shred later), but my daughter has her brownie meeting at 6:30, so if I don't get it in gear soon, it'll be just 1 workout or even :noway: none.

I think it's because I'm dreading week 4 of C25K. I did the first day of week 4 on Saturday, and OMG it was hard. I had to modify the last segment because it was sooooo hard.

I just have to do it. If I start now, I'll be done in an hour and will then have another hour before picking my daughter up, then have dinner and head to brownies. Sigh. Okay. Getting up now. Going to change. I'll make myself accountable here. I will report back in 1 hour when I've finished.

I'm really going to change now. Really.

I hear ya! I am in the same boat. I have company coming for lasagne, garlic bread, and salad. I already logged it and I have had to starve most of the day to earn it. I don't really have time to exercise, but I already logged 35 mintues at 4.0 mph on the treadmill. Worse yet, even with that, I am 55 calories in the hole. I didn't log desert either. Lord give me strength to turn that down!

Get up...say good-bye to your laptop/desktop/phone ,etc and GETTER DONE...YeeeeeeeeeeeHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWW

Sorry...so very quirky today. Anyhow, if it's bothering you, I say "DO IT". Even though you've earned a rest day, I always know for me personally, when it's bothering me that I'm not working out, I need to just get up, take a deep breath and just do it for my own sanity. It's a feeling of satisfaction that I need and I have never, EVER regretted letting in to my "just do it" attitude. :smooched:

I gotter done. Donna's advice made me smile. And IrishGal, thank you soooooo much, you hit it exactly right where it counts. I *needed* to get up and do that workout even more because I didn't want to do it. It's done, I'm spent, I hurt, I'm hot and sweaty, but damn, I DID IT!

I had to modify the last segment again, but I completed the total running minutes for the workout. I went 2.216 miles in 40 minutes, which is probably just about the furthest I've gone. I burned 296 cal in my usual 40 minute workout, which, if I'm not mistaken, is the most I've burned. I kept up my planned walking pace of 20:16 mile and my running pace of 15:00 mile. That workout kicked my *kitten* but I kicked it right back.

    Yep.
