Feeling rediculous

So I decided 10 days ago that I was nearing my "fat" weight (145) when I weighed in at 141 and immediately joined mfp. Now I know that I'm not technically fat. I have some fat yes but really its just an unhealthy weight. I'm nearing the high end of my healthy BMI at 140. With a dad who has diabetes and is obese (wow thats weird to say) I know I need to be in shape. I just feel awful saying I need to lose weight when it's only like 15-20 pounds and theres people on here who have/need/want to lose significant amounts of weight (40+) especially when I know I don't look even remotely fat. Does anyone else have a small amount of weight to lose and feel totally rediculous but its important to you?

I want to lose 5 pounds, although I hear that I look just fine.
I gave myself a goal, and now I want to accomplish it.
Even if I do really bad on it. LOL

    That's not ridiculous at all.

What would be ridiculous is if you let it waited until you have twice that much to lose!

I know exactly what you mean... That's why I decided to join MFP... I'm at a normal weight and have been for years and years but when I put on 15lbs (and was still at a healthy weight) I decided I didn't want to keep going down that route and I wanted to get back down to my former weight. I felt silly at first and my family hasn't been super supportive but I feel healthy and proud of myself now!

Feel free to add me if you like :)
