8 month progress report (with pictures, of course)

Today marks 8 months since I made the decision to change the way I live my life, to replace my unhealthy habits (laziness and gluttony) with regular exercise and proper nutrition (in healthy portions).
In that time, I have lost nearly 85 pounds and over 70 inches.
In turn, I have also gained some things: good health, confidence, and the knowledge that I am setting a positive example for my family and friends.
Here are some of my stats (I'm very tall, by the way - 5'10") –
************WEIGHT************
Starting: 280.0 pounds / Current: 195.8 pounds
**Loss: 84.2 pounds
*********MEASUREMENTS*********
Starting Hip: 54.0 inches / Current Hip: 41.0 inches
**Loss: 13.0 inches
Starting Thigh: 32.0 inches / Current Thigh: 23.0 inches
**Loss: 9.0 inches each, total 18.0 inches
Starting Calf: 19.5 inches / Current Calf: 16.0 inches
**Loss: 3.5 inches each, total 7.0 inches
Starting Waist: 45.5 inches / Current Waist: 30.25 inches
**Loss: 15.25 inches
Starting Chest: 51.0 inches / Current Chest: 43.0 inches
**Loss: 8.0 inches
Starting Upper Arm: 16.0 inches / Current Upper Arm: 12.0 inches
**Loss: 4.0 inches each, total 8.0 inches
Starting Neck: 15.5 inches / Current Neck: 13.5 inches
**Loss: 1.5 inches
****TOTAL INCHES LOST: 70.75 inches
I am so grateful for the support and encouragement I've received on here.
• I've lost 84.2 pounds and 70.75 inches all over.
• I've gone from having two chins to only one. :laugh:
• I have collarbones!!!!! And calf muscles!!!! And a ribcage!!!!!
• I've gone from a size 24W in pants to a regular 16.
• I've gone from XXL shirts to Medium.
• I've gone from a size 24 bathing suit to a 14.
• I've gone from a BMI of 40.2 to a BMI of 28.1
• My resting heart rate has gone from 110+ (way too high) to about 55 (very healthy)

Face comparison (I am not wearing much makeup – just mascara – in the current one but I’m confident enough to go without slathering massive amounts of foundation and other stuff on now that my skin is healthier)
People always want to know what the “secret” is – there isn’t one.
Eat nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks in healthy portions, drink lots of water, and exercise regularly.
Every choice you make in how you move your body and what you feed your body is important because it means that you are either taking one step closer to good health or one step further away.

I'm jealous. You weigh more than be my about 45 lbs and yet your measurements are all smaller than mine! You must be tall. Either way, you have a kickass bod and you look great! Keep up the awesome work, lady!0

Horray for you! Your post is particularly inspirational for me, since I'm also 5'10". I started at 255 and on my way down to 175, so it's encouraging to see your pictures and think, "I should be around that size by fall!" Thanks for sharing, and keep up the GREAT work!0

You're right you are a success story junkie. I think I've seen 3 or 4 of your success stories since I joined 45 days ago LOL.
BUT you have every right to be. You look absolutely amazing and you are SUCH an inspiration to me. I started this journey at 260 and I'm tall like you, so I look at your after pictures and think.... "could I really look like that too?"....0
