Does this count as exercise?

My newest favorite way to exercise now (well keeping my HR up) is to crank up my electro/break beat/remix rock (as always) and with my kids dance/jog around like a fool with my 3lb weights working my arms out. With the weight I dont have to "dance" as hard to keep my HR at 150. I still am sweating a bit but it really doesnt feel like exercise! Its just so fun and my kids LOVE it!! I burned 600cals acting like a fool today! haha

I dance twice weekly for 40 min as my aerobic ex for the day. I burn the same amount of calories funking out to MC hammer as on the boring elliptical machine.

Of course when the music is blaring and 50 cent or Missy Elliot come on my grown children question my sanity, but ya just cant dance to David Cassidy!

I think it counts...I dance around like a fool to the Mamma Mia soundtrack lol...and during the slow songs I do side steps and kicks and things like that to keep my heart rate up lol

I do an hour of dance aerobics 6x weekly, heavy on latin style, most of the songs provided by my #1 all-time-favorite-since-the-1960's-group Santana. Thankfully, we have no near neighbors to complain about the noise level because Santana just doesn't have the same effect turned down low
