I'm a 48 year old guy and about 25 pounds above where I want to be. I've been on (and off) MFP for a couple of months, and have been trying to get into the habit of exercising 3 or 4 times a week and watching my calorie intake, but just haven't been able to keep things going for more than a week or two at a time. I've decided to buckle down and DO this, and I'm hoping that getting much more active with MFP will help. Hoping to lose a pound a week for the next 24 weeks and then maintain in the 180 range.

Welcome and good luck! MFP has great tools! It takes a while to get the hang of logging in and also getting used to regular exercise, but it is VERY doable!0
