I'm a 48 year old guy and about 25 pounds above where I want to be. I've been on (and off) MFP for a couple of months, and have been trying to get into the habit of exercising 3 or 4 times a week and watching my calorie intake, but just haven't been able to keep things going for more than a week or two at a time. I've decided to buckle down and DO this, and I'm hoping that getting much more active with MFP will help. Hoping to lose a pound a week for the next 24 weeks and then maintain in the 180 range.

Looking forward to becoming part of the community!

    Welcome and good luck! MFP has great tools! It takes a while to get the hang of logging in and also getting used to regular exercise, but it is VERY doable!
