To all the men out there trying to lose 10 lbs a month i have lost 15lbs since May 5th 2011. I know this web site is about balanced meals but, i'm not playing around feeling hungry or complaining about not being satisfied. If you watch the saturated fats and focus on the healthy fats as well as the good cuts of meat and proteins, you will lose alot in just months. After 2 months you switch to the meals on this site and common sense meals. The reason is to protect your kidneys. You must drink at least 64oz of water and can have 20 carbs only day. I choose my carbs to be..... Check out my profile to read more.

Hey man, I am not criticizing the atkins. If it works for you stick with it. That's good you're focused on healthy fats. Low carb diets leaves muscles flat, and takes away their power because they have no glycogen (sugar/carbs). Guess what the majority of your brain runs on? Carbs... Consider this, it's called the CKD diet. IF you're in atkins you probably know, that ketosis is what the atkins is all about. If you don't know, ketosis is when you're using fat for energy cause your muscles have no glycogen. Don't want to make it too complex, there is more to it than that, but it puts a lot of stress on the kidneys.

The CKD diet, is when you eat high protien how you have been doing, you stay under 30grams of carbs a day, On Saturday and sunday you eat up those carbs, unlimited amounts. This gives you the benefits of the atkins, with out the negative side affects.
  • HEY asmcriminal Not sure about what your trying to say about ( you stay under 30grams of carbs a day, On Saturday and sunday you eat up those carbs, unlimited amounts. This gives you the benefits of the atkins, with out the negative side affects.) can you explain a ittle bit more from what you have read in self help books ? what kind of carbs on saturday and sunday? and how much? Thanks if you can answer this, Maybe it might help Leanne1795 .
By the way i have done atkins before and also implemented alot of weights and exercise using creatine and other supplements and had no problem getting buffed up. If you check out my other picture i slimmed down to a plank then added carbs after two months of atkins to bulk up for a month or 6 weeks. Then back to atkins for another two months repeating the process till i was a magnet in the supermarket for anyone who liked my profile in gym shorts and tank top.

CKD is absolutely no use to me as I am diabetic. Atkins suits my diabetes perfectly.
