Hey everyone
I've been to Weight Watchers many years ago and it worked but these days I just can't afford it. So here I am with a new idea to just eat healthily and not stop myself from eating anything...but to watch how much I eat.
I have arthritis (and I'm only 35 :ohwell: ) so that makes it a little difficult to exercise and swimming generally makes me too hungry! Then I came across this and I thought I would give it a try...how cool is it that I can have this on my phone
Hopefully I can persuade some friends to come on here so we can all encourage each other

Hello and welcome!
I have been a member for a while but just started this year really trying to take care of myself. This is a great website and tons of support. The friends you will make here is awesome, please send me a friends request if you want. We will make this journey together.

Hey Paul, I too have done Slimming World (lost weight), Weight Watchers (lost weight), Diet Chef (lost weight) and the "See Food" diet (Gained it all back again!)
MFP is currently working well for me, the trick is to get your head in the right place and then, quite frankly, anything will work.
The WW leaders will assure you that their plan is the best and that coming to the meetings is incredibly important. All weight loss plans are based on two things - eating less and doing more and sure, if you don't understand calories, fat, BMR, BMI, etc then WW is probably the best thing you can do. If you do understand these things, MFP will work too and its a hell of a lot cheaper (and if you don't, you have thousands of members who can help you learn).
So, what do we have left, well, the socialising and the support network - guess what, you get these for free as well with MFP.
Good luck with your weightloss journey. Reach out and make some friends on the site, the support and encouragement will help. I will send you a friend request shortly.0
