Too much protein?

I have been told by people to up my protein intake, Im a vegetarian so find it a little harder than most, so I started drinking whey protein shakes, 2 a day, after work outs most of the time. They only have 2g of carbs each, and 118 cals each, my protein intake is usually about 100g now, it used to be about 30g!! which I thought was def too low as I was working out loads. Is that okay? my carbs is usually about 100-120g and my fat is usually about 30-40g (you can have a look at my diary) I'm not into the whole 'low carb' diet because I want my weightloss to stay, I don't want a quick fix, and like I said I'm a veggie so carbs are a big part of my diet, however I ONLY eat whole grains in terms of carbs, never white horrible carbs, I don't eat pasta or rice, most of my carbs come from fruit and my breakfast wholegrain cereal.

sounds like you are doing real well to me...
  • Fage Greek yoghurt - 0% fat is quite high in protein about 9% I think and its delicious with a little honey or fruit preserve

I'm fine getting protein from the whey protein shakes, I love them, I'm just wondering if I am having too much.

As a mostly-vegetarian who is now working out and trying to do some strength development, I'm also interested in how much protein I should be aiming for.
