For the MFP friends that follow me you know that I have been having a tough time over the last month. I was down to 180 and shot back up to 198 in roughly 3 weeks.

Finally I had enough and contacted my friends one being a trainer, another being an IFBB semi pro Body Builder and lastly a Nutritionist.

I sat down with all three of them to get a plan of action to get me to 168-175lbs with 8% Bodyfat. I have used a trainer only once with no real progess and seemed to gain the most amount working on my own but I really need that extra push and change of pace to get me to that 6 pack by end of July.

So I did it. I signed up with one of my friends as a trainer and after my first workout last night my arms feel like crap with is a great thing. My Bi's and Tri's are stuck in place.

I guess what I am getting at is who else got to the dreaded "last 10 lbs" and needed that extra oomph to hit your goal. I think mine might be a little more aggressive them most but none the less please share your stories of the last 10 lbs and how you went about getting that last 10 gone.

Never underestimate a personal trainer! We make the difference and can help you push through a platue MUCH QUICKER!!!

Fior those who think you can't afford a personal trainer, here are some ideas to get them on the cheap:

1.Check craigslist, you can get lots of certified trainers out on their own. Just verify certifications and check references. If they are trying to sell you a product like a cleanse or something, PASS! They are no good.

    2. Get one at the gym and ask them how much it would be outside of the gym- MOst trainers see 1/3 of what you pay the gym, you'd be surpirsed how cheap you can get them when they are not working at the gym. Be discreet when you ask, but I used to take clients on the side for like $35 an hour and the gym charged $90 for me an hour.

    3. Alot of "freelance" or out on their own trainers offer DIY plans for dirt cheap. Basically you tell them your goals, what you have been doing, and then they take all that and design a plan for you.

    4. JOin a bootcamp. Most bootcamps are under $175 a month and met 3 days week. Its cheap, but its a killer workout that you normally wouldn't push yourself through.
