    I would suggest using the MFP calculator as it will add it to your log and modify you caloric intake accordingly. I am sure that it already takes into account your weight.

    Rule of thumb -> one calorie per 100kg body weight for every metre climbed.

    So (as an example) if you weight 180 pounds and do 15 stories worth in 15 minutes you're looking at...

    180 pounds -> 81kg so... 81/100 * (15 stories * 3m/story) -> 36 calories.

    No. This is exactly the kind of exercise for which HRMs will give highly exaggerated readings.

    I climbed the CN tower last Oct and it took me 25 minutes
    I wore my heart rate monitor and it said I only burned 100 cals...
