It doesn't work like that. It's a very complex topic, but basically your body takes the carbs, fat and protein that you eat and breaks each of those down for your body to use in various processes, including the metabolic process that burns calories. Sugar is a type of carbohydrate.
  • First no question is ever dumb, its dumber to not ask imo.

Fat burning exercises are the slow, aerobic, long duration types of exercise that involve most of the major muscle groups. Your body will burn a higher percentage of calories from fat with lower intensity cardio exercises.
Fat burning exercises include walking, jogging, running, elliptical exercise trainer workouts, cycling and swimming. The key factor to keep in mind is the more muscle groups you use, the more fat you'll burn.

Different type of exercises will burn more sugar rather than burning fat. Sugar burning exercises involve brief spurts of movement followed by rest which results in more sugar that is used for fuel instead of fat.

Sugar burning exercises include sprinting, tennis, racquetball, basketball, and golf. While these are great sports that benefit your overall fitness condition, they are different type of exercises that will not burn as much fat like fat burning exercises will.

To burn fat effectively, exercise at a moderate pace for a longer period of time. The residual effect of this type of aerobic exercise gives you the most benefits.

Hope this helps, I'm no expert ofc but thats my 2 cents.

I'm not sure if your question makes complete sense but I'll answer as best as can be.

Sugar is a type of Carbohydrate, with Fibre being another type. Any Carb you injest in your body is then converted to glucose, which then becomes "glycogen" which is your primary energy source for any aerobic activity.

Fats and Proteins are also similary stored however without getting to complicated...Fats are primarily burned during lesser intensity activities and proteins generally are only used as a source of energy in the absense of Carbohydrate.

So, any areobic activity will burn glycogen (carbohydrate) which will similarly need to be replenished after exercise so that your muscles have energy for the next bout.

But if you're asking if you can specifically burn the 3 teaspoons of sugar from the morning coffee, then I would say the answer is no.

The usual consensus is you need to do at least 20 minutes of aerobic activity before you burn fat so your 25 minute pilates workouts are perfect. That workout will also help you tone and strengthen your muscles which helps to keep your heart rate up for hours after the workout is over. I also walk about 30 minutes a day outside in addition to my 25 minute bowflex workout so we're sort of doing the same thing.

Awesome I also do yoga some times and I really enjoy it it is a fat burn yoga I found on hulu and the workout last 20 minutes without the commercials. Also I usually walk either in the mornings or evening cause I live houston and usually this season it gets humid and I don't really like taking my daughter out when it is way to hot outside but if I do I usually do it about 10 or 20 minutes and I do the rest later about around 5pm thats when it starts cooling down and plus the activities I do in the house.
