I don't think the HRM will fit on me

So I've been researching and saving up for a heart rate monitor, and I'm almost ready to buy one, but today a very devastating thought occurred to me as I was reading some reviews on a monitor.
What if I can't wear the monitor? I'm almost certain that I won't be able to find a chest strap to fit me, and I need a monitor that will constantly monitor my heart rate, not one I have to keep touching.
Would the monitor still work if I say, strapped it around my arm (I noticed that they wear bands around their arms on the biggest loser)
What do you guys think...
this is really bumming me out. =(

Is there a particular one you're saving for because all the ones I've looked at online appear to come with straps like watches. I am sure you will be able to find one that will fit you whether it's your chest or your wrist. Good luck.

Trust me you can fit the chest strap. I am a big girl myself and I have the medium chest strap for polar. The medium is the standard strip for Polar however, you can order one in a larger size. I have seen the larger straps on the website.0

Take a measurement of yourself. If you are female, measure beneath the breast, all the way around, in inches. That will give you a good idea of a strap to look for. If you're truly worried, you can go after the large & extra large sizes. There should be measurements somewhere.
The strap I have is adjustable.0 -
don't they have the specific sizes that the strap will expand too? I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to wear it. I have one and when I started my chest was 40 and I know the thingy would've expanded to at least 6" longer. I've adjusted it a couple of times now as I'm shrinking. I would think that this isn't going to be a problem for you. I believe also that it's a body bug that goes on the arm.0

Depending on your brand they sell different sizes. I have a Polar that came with a medium adjustable chest strap but they sold more sizes separately. I got it at Best Buy.0
