When is the best time of day to have a protein shake? Does it really matter? I was thinking of drinking it with breakfast. Thanks

Breakfast is a great time for a shake, and also post-workout!

It's best to feed your muscles protein immediately following a workout, particularly after strength training.

Thanks. Is it okay to go over your limit? If I drink it with breakfast should I also do it after an elliptical workout?

Absolutely, protein is the one macro-nutrient that we need more of. Keep your calorie goal, and you'll be fine. Protein actually increases metabolism more than carbs and fats, so by theory you'd lose more weight with more protein as long as your overall calories are in line.

I always drink a protein shake right after I workout in the morning.

Thank you so much! Congrats on such a huge weight loss! Do you eat all your exercise calories back? Sry. Not trying to be nosy.

Have heard it's good to have some protein before bed.
