Taking a break/cutting back

Hi MFPers!
So I have been working out pretty consistently since I started MFP in January. I almost always work out 5 times a week, once a month that is four times and sometimes includes a long walk but usually involves something more difficult.
Basically, I have been considering a cut back week or time off completely. My hip flexors are tight and I can feel my right knee (which tends to get a little tight). Basically, I can feel my body is a little warn out and I think it needs a break.
That said, what are you suggestions? Should I cut the gym cold turkey, go for walks or easier exercises, or just cut my weight and keep going?
I also know I need to reenergize my work out since I can feel my progress is stalling.

What elite athletes do they cycle with high intensity weeks and low intensity weeks, just try lower intensity and maybe even less frequently.0

Def cut back at bit! If you flame things up too much you will end up with an injury that may cause you to have to stop completely for a bit...:noway:
Listen to your body!!! Concentrate on areas that don't hurt and ease up on areas that hurt....I have huge knee issues and I listen!!!
Good luck! :flowerforyou:0
