how often is too often to eat? non stop! lol
stay in your cals, make healthy food choices, you'll be fine.0 -
How often doesn't matter, as long as the calories are the same.0

I do this too and loose weight. As long as I don't go over my calories I see no harm. I read somewher that eating often helps you metabolism.0

I do the same thing. If I don't, I could just about chew my arm off! If I'm NEAR my calories for the day, and having healthy snacks/meals, I don't see the problem.0

I was told to eat every 2 hours, but I eat when I'm hungry too even if it's not been 2 hours.0

no set time---but it is the habit of nibbling and eating continuously--I call it grazing -that can get you into trouble ie me--I ate well no junk- just ate 24-7 > it is ok if you stay in cal limits -but again when you stop being diligent about counting cals- and you have a habit of grazing-you could get into wt trouble---In my humble opinion0

I snack when 'm hungry--try to snack on veggies, but not always. I stay under my calories and I'm losing. I think when I snack on healthy snacks I don't get the urge to binge and eat too much at my meals. It also helps with keeping your blood sugar even.0

I think it's better to eat every few hours so what you are doing is just fine. As long as you stay within your allotted calories there is no real "right" way to eat.0

Thanks for the support . Love my friend to death
but man she sure is being neg about my efforts......:ohwell:0 -
I don't know that one is necessarily better than the other. I think that it depends on each individual. I've heard that eating every 2-3 hours helps keep blood sugar levels more consistent, and metabolism revved up. I eat small meals every 3 hours, and it works for me! As long as you're under your calorie count, and your meals and snacks are balanced and healthful, I don't think that there is any way that you WON'T be successful using an eating plan that works for you0

I have always heard..."to speed up your metabolism you should eat about 6 small meals a day".... I eat a good breakfast (at around 11am cause i work late) a snack at about 2pm....lunch at about 4pm...another snack or two in the middle and dinner at about 8pm....and maybe a sweet dessert type snack around 10pm....then off to bed around midnight. I hope this helps you some.

There is no "rule" that meals are 6, 12, and 6.
There IS a limit to how many calories you can take in a day without losing weight.
Eat what you want in moderation, keep your calorie count below your limit, and (in my opinion) don't worry that you're nibbling between meals. In fact, FOR ME, eating about every 2 hours is great. My "meals" are around 300-400 calories, and my snacks are around 80-150 calories. I just make sure I'm under my daily limit, I drink my water, and then everything is copasetic.0
