Arrrggg!! I'd been doing SO well for the past couple months - I started in May and until about two/three weeks ago I kept track of everything I ate, drank a ton of water, did some exercise (okay... not as much as I should have, but I was trying at least) and it seemed so easy. I'd lost 36 pounds, three sizes and felt AWESOME!!

Then, three weeks ago, I realized that it was almost time for me to return to work from maternity leave and I started stress eating and spending more time worrying about finding work and getting ready for interviews than paying attention to what I was eating. Now, I've gained at least three pounds back (so far... I weigh again tomorrow), haven't had anything to drink but coffee for days and I've eaten fast-food almost every day this week.

I feel so disappointed in myself. I haven't even submitted the weight I gained on here because I feel so bad. I figured it was about time for me to come on here and make myself accountable and get back on track. Any support (or threats ) would be sincerely appreciated.

weigh yourself and be accountable as you said. I too have prefered to ignore the scale because I don't want to be depressed by how much I've put back on. I think this has always been my downfall in maintaining my weight and why I've lost and gained the same amount of weight for the last number of years. Weigh yourself, you'll feel bad and you'll get back on track.

Also, if you are going through a stressful time, who says you have to keep trying to loose weight right now. You've done great. Why not take a break and maintain for a while. Eat healthy but don't worry about measuring and weighing. Weigh yourself once a week to make sure you don't gain. When you are less stressed, you can go back to your regular routine and continue your weight loss.

Why not looking at this as a time for yet another change in your life? Try to see this (looking for, and beginning a new job) as taking a break from being a stay-at-home mum, as adding more color and dynamics to your life, as a sort of a new beginning. Tell yourself you'll be great at what you'll be doing, you'll meet new people, you'll look for that one job that you'll find joy in doing. Stop worrying about this or that friend who had been looking for so long for a job and had so much stress with the interviews. It eventually happens and it's good that it happens only when it does - it's an experience meant to teach us something. Don't go to interviews as to exams or surgeries - just use the opportunity to show those people what a good and reliable person you are! :flowerforyou:

You can always think of this weight loss as one of your qualities: you've been determined and managed to shed off 36 pounds! As people say, you posting this means you care and that's the first important step! Look how far you've come to and be happy about it. Once you'll find a job, it should keep you busy enough to shed off some more, since you won't have that much time for eating  .

Good luck :flowerforyou: and you'll be doing great!
