I know, fad diets don't work, but I have read a lot about how this may not really be a fad diet, but one based on how our bodies truly work. I have reserved a book from the library to do some further research, but would like to hear if anyone out there has done some of their research on this, or if anyone has had success/failure/issues with trying this strategy. Thanks!

I have the book, doesn't look too faddish diet to me. Of course, there is always critics out on the net. It looks to have meat, dairy, veggies, and even can be vegan/vegetarian on the 17 day diet. My mom saw it on "The Doctors" and the people who were on it, so she bought me the book. Maybe we can try it together?

    It's definitely a fad diet.

    BUT

as they go, it's one of the better ones out there. Remember, eat healthy, eat at a moderate deficit, don't expect to much to fast, and exercise and you'll regain your health, there's no need to label it a diet, this is a lifestyle. Simple? Yes, easy, not really, but doable for most of us.

I am not looking for a quick fix, but something I can keep up. I have heard the maintenance plan on the 17 day diet actually looks pretty healthy and doable. @eat_read_twit I will let you know when I get this book! Thanks!
