Would you please let me know if you use a body media or boddy bugg! Tell me what you think of it. Any of you who use it lost over 75 pounds? Any new people who need to lose over 75 and just started using it?

I love my BodyMediaFit.
Its the best money I ever spent on a fitness gadget, and I have 2 Polar HRM's, 2 different pedometers, and a whole gym's worth of equipment in my house, so that's saying a lot!
MFP had me at 1200 to lose 1580 to maintain at "lightly active", which I thought I was....
Turns out, my TDEE is easily over 2000 most days. I have to set it to HIGHLY active to get my diary to give me enough calories. Now I eat 1600-2000 a day.
I bought it at goal weight so I didn't lose any while using it. But it still helps me daily.
The step counter gets me up and moving when I notice its low and I've been sitting around a lot.
The sleep tracker has shown me that I really DON'T get as much sleep as I thought I did.
The alarms are awesome. I have reminders set for different things at different times of the day.
And the targets/goals are motivating too! I aim for 2 hours of moderate activity a day, 15 minutes of vigorous activity (hard to achieve unless you are running or doing plyo or something really hard), 10000 steps, and 1800 cals burned by 8PM.
It beeps when you make a target and displays a message on the screen.
I really think I'll wear it forever!0 -
I am getting a bodymedia in the next week or two!0

I've been using my BodyMedia for about 3 weeks now and I love it! It is so great to monitor my deficit each day and make sure that I am consistent with the 1000 calorie deficit so I can lose 2 pounds a week. The sleep patterns is interesting to see as well, although suggestions for better sleep it doesn't offer, LOL. I hardly notice it on my arm anymore.0

I have a Body Bugg and I love it. When I first got it I wore it all the time, but now that my goals have changed I use it when I'm being active ie lifting weights, running, elliptical, etc. I keeps count of your steps too which a lot of people like. They have the next generation now which will send your info straight to your Droid or iPhone which is pretty cool. I think it's a good investment, it doesn't have a HRM, but if you know how many cals your burning you really don't need that unless directed by your doctor. Plus it's suppose to be 90+% accurate and that's a lot better than having to go off of a calculation. If you have any questions just inbox me and I'll be glad to answer.

Wow I never looked into one of these. Very interesting. I would love to know the sleep info. That subscription looks like a deal breaker for me though. That's why I don't have cable/satellite/pay TV.0 -

I just paid for a year when I got it. It wasn't a lot, 3 months free plus 6.95 a month or something like that, I think? So like 60 bucks for the year...
My cable/phone/internet combo is 180 a month....and my all-inclusive Blackberry is like 90...
Gee, that sounds bad. I really do waste a lot of money...oh and 14 for netflix...
what do I need all this stuff for? :ohwell:
Now you're making me doubt my lifestyle choices...lol:laugh:0 -

HAHAHA Robin. See when I went through the big D, I had to recover financially, so I wholesale got very thrifty. My employer pays for my iPhone/data plan. I got rid of my landline. I pay $40 for pure DSL, $14 Netflix, no cable. I put Sirius XM in my Infiniti though. I put in LED and CFL bulbs and got my electricity down to $45/month. But my savings is all the way back to pre divorce so I'm back on track.0 -

I've got a KiFit (UK BodyMediaFit)..... I've had it since February....
The information it provides is fascinating, I consistently have a 1000 calorie deficit to my TDEE - but I think I'm still not taking full advantage of the information it provides.....
I have the display.... I didn't know I could set alarms..... hmmm....?
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could make more use of it....?0 -
I know it's not quite the same but I have a fitbit and I love it!!! It's so tiny and I check it regularly throughout the day to see how many steps I have and how many calories I've burned. It's a great little tool. I've heard similar reactions to both the body media and body bugg. These kinds of devices are great for motivation and showing you that it's time to put forth that little extra bit!0

For those of you that Have a body bugg/media are you charting your food on both mfp AND with Body media?

No.... I was considering it - but it's just too time-consuming......!
I did a search on there for a simple branded item, and it wasn't there - which means I would have to add all of the nutritional info.
I'm spoilt now, after using MFP.....0 -
I've had my Bodybugg for 2 weeks now. Last week I was just using apex database but its not user friendly and does not have alot of food. So now I'm doing both ..... don't know how long I do that but its easier to find it on MFP then just add calories etc into the Apex daily log0

I have been using my Bodybugg since 5/20...LOVE it. I don't like their food database but I still log my foods for the day. I just do a generic add at the end of the day and combine everything from MFP into one big meal just so I can see my calorie deficit.0
