So yesterday was my birthday and I let myself eat junk. I biked home from work and grabbed potato chips, chocolate and a beer. I probably only ate two servings of chocolate and 1.5 of potato chips before I ran to the bathroom and nearly threw up.

Lesson for the day - when you change your eating habits permanently like I have (I only eat junk in moderate to small amounts, and certainly not three junk things at once) DO NOT expect to be able to go back to your old ways in one day. You will find yourself sitting in front of the toilet saying, "I don't want to throw up its my biiiirthdaaay..."

  I have noticed a shift in my perceptions regarding food as well. I was out with a friend shopping yesterday and she was eating McD fries......offered me some...I took ONE and actually ended up spitting it out into a napkin- I just could not force myself to eat that fry....and I was absolutely weirded out that I was able to make that decision!!!!
I know this may sound silly to some.....but I just wanted to share:happy:

Not silly at all. I kept sitting there last night thinking, "and this is what I used to feed myself...ick!"

It is interesting what happens when you re-arrange your thinking. I'm now mostly repulsed by the foods I used to eat and do not crave them (surprisingly!). DW and I were on the run a couple weekends ago and got burgers at Wendy's - I felt sick the rest of the afternoon. Same thing yesterday (noted in my haiku post); I had a bacon cheeseburger & fries for lunch (1st cheat day) and was nauseas the rest of the day. It's kinda cool to see the changes taking hold!
