Things I'm looking forward to...

Options
Ok, here's the thought. There are many things that being overweight causes. Please list some things that, once you lose your weight, you won't miss.

I am looking forward to:

1. Not having to ask for a table instead of a booth in a restaurant.

2. Not having to shop in 'speciality stores'

3. Not being the biggest person in the room.

4. Not being tired all the time.

What things won't you miss?

'How does one become a butterfly?, she asked. 'You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.

    NOT MISSING THAT QUESTION:
    "When is your baby due?"

OR THE OTHER JUST AS AWKWARD ONE:
    "Are you pregnant?"

    No--just overweight.

    NOT going to miss those.

    Currently NOT missing those.

    Looking forward to
    BIKINIS!!
    Living a LONG time
Being able to eat what I want, in REASONABLE portions (this is what I am learning now)

    NOT MISSING THAT QUESTION:
    "When is your baby due?"

I had that question asked to me about a year ago....she asked' when are you expecting" I replied and said" expecting what?"

I later went home and cried:sad:

I won't miss being too depressed to look in the mirror.
Being more depressed AFTER I look in the mirror.
Looking for clothes that don't have a waistline.
    Looking in the PLUS section.
Having to wear "Old Lady" clothes because nothing else is my size.
Having to lean in to hug because my middle is to big.

    I could go on.,

Ahhh. The leaning hug. Yes. My hubby and I have lost a combined 100 pounds, and can't believe how much BETTER a hug feels when you are thin!!

Being told "You have such a pretty face" that drives me crazy, I feel like it is a backwards compliment.

Also, not trying on 30 pieces of clothing before I leave the house because I look horrible in everything.
    :grumble: :explode:

I'm looking forward to being comfortable...no clothes digging in....not trying to cover my middle....not feeling like everyone is thinking...'wow she's a big girl!'

Not needing a seat belt extender on airplanes (although, I think I'm already there)
    Buying off the rack clothing
Having more energy, getting more done each day
Scuba diving lessons (or, getting over my fear of being harpooned in a wet suit)
Not worrying about getting a booth instead of a table
Not worrying about diabetes, heart disease, an early exit
