they claim the probiotics in the yogurt are what helps to regulate you, but you are better off taking a probiotic pill and getting your fiber through fruits, veg, and whole grains!0

Yeah, there's been some class action lawsuits out there about these various yogurts. I think it was Activia? I'm not positive which brand, but it was about false advertising.
To get the full benefits of yogurt check out some of the organic brands or the Greek yogurt (not the Greek yogurt with high sugar--Yoplait Greek yogurt is not actual Greek yogurt). I also enjoy Stonyfield and Wallaby...both are organic and do not have artificial sweeteners in it.
I learned today that regular 99% fat free Yoplait has more sugar than a Hershey Bar!
I do find that I have a healthier immune system when I eat yogurt daily, and I have read that regular yogurt has all the benefits without having to buy Activia or one that is similar.0 -
Beans, oats, etc are better sources of fiber. I eat the yogurt to get my dairy b/c for some reason I don't get along w/drinking straight milk. Plus gives me a little bit of protein w/out a lot of cals (I get the light version for 70 cal each). Also sprinkling ground flaxseed or wheat germ onto a lot of baked items, or cutting "breading" with it can help add fiber. You get a few more calories, but some of the overall health benefits can be worth it, esp if your workout can allow the calories. Plus my kids don't even know they're getting it!0

the only kind of yougurt really worth it is the sugar free kind. all the sugar and crap they add in it kill any kinda of good probiotics in it. i try not to buy into the yogurt hype but fiber one has yummy key lime pie haha but i usally go with fat free low sugar yogurts,0

Yup, it was Activia. Here's an interesting article about the whole thing, and some other foods/brands whose claims one should watch out for: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/15/business/15food.html?_r=10
